CLIC Participation at URBACT Resourceful Cities programme – City2City session on “Scaling up the local circular economy”

Antonia Gravagnuolo, CLIC Researcher from CNR IRISS, contributed to the City2City Session session “Scaling Up Local Circular Economy” organized by Resourceful Cities, an URBACT Action Planning Network of ten European cities focused on developing the next generation urban resource centres for the circular economy. The session focused on stressing the value of scaling up to get local circular economy practices out of a just piloting logic.

The online city-to-city session was aimed to collect and share a number of insights, relevant experiences and new paths in order to accelerate the transition from linear to more circular urban economies, with a spotlight on firm performance. Antonia Gravagnuolo gave a presentation under the topic “Sector-focused strategies promoting circularity” and discussed about how circular business models can be successfully applied to the adaptive reuse of cultural heritage, serving as accelerating pipelines of a more inclusive, sustainable and resilient development, sharing the experiences carried out in the CLIC pilots.
