Project description
Project Id 3317
Project Name Trädgårdens skola, Sweden
Description Dacapo Mariestad is a platform for a network of university and college education. In the training matrix you will find information about the courses and programs that are available to study at Trädgården's school. There is also the opportunities for studying a program or a course at a distance to find a place in an inspiring study environment. In order for a municipality and its inhabitants to grow and develop, education, visions and active cooperation with other actors are required. Dacapo Mariestad is a municipal platform that gathers all this, and more, in a unique network at local and regional level. With us, there is nutrition development, future thinking and exciting projects for creative industries - all in the same greenhouse.
Description of the economic, social and environmental impacts of the project -Before adaptive reuse: The house was built in 1776 as Mariestad's crown crater and with its 24 boilers, it was the second largest burner in Sweden. In total, about 600,000 liters of brandy were produced annually. However, the market deteriorated in 1779 and in 1792 the burn was finally lowered. Subsequently, the building was used for housing and tanning until 1838 when a new laser dish was set up. The hospital was operated in these buildings until 1879 and after that the building was once again home. Finally, in 1892, Mariestad's city came to buy the old hospital empire for 18,000 SEK, approximately 1800EU. And then the building was used as a school. The development has gone from primary school to elementary school and became a municipal adult school in the period 1987-2006. As of autumn, 2007, the building houses education from both universities and colleges. -After adaptive reuse: University school. Specifyed in garderning and (cultural) crafts.
